Terry McAuliffe Pulls a Joe Biden, Hides Behind Staff to Avoid Taking Questions

Terry McAuliffe would rather hide behind his handlers than be forced to address voters’ concerns head on. McAuliffe’s agenda is not resonating with Virginians, and he knows it.

Terry McAuliffe took a page out of Joe Biden’s playbook in the final weeks of his lackluster campaign by using his handlers to shield him from answering tough questions.

A McAuliffe staffer tried and failed to have the police remove an America Rising (AR) tracker from a campaign stop over the weekend after previous AR tracking footage garnered national headlines, causing headaches for the embattled candidate.

“This is all a private area. This is not public space. Public space is over there on the sidewalk,” the staffer claimed. “We can get the cop to trespass you if that’s what you want.”

Law enforcement did not support the McAuliffe staffer’s position.

This is not the first time Terry McAuliffe has dispatched staffers to shield him and his allies from taking questions:

McAuliffe also frantically cancelled a campaign event to avoid crowd size comparisons to a Youngkin rally held in the same area. The last-minute cancellation took place the day before the election, after McAuliffe received criticism for abysmal turnout at his rallies.

Bottom line: Terry McAuliffe would rather hide behind his handlers than be forced to address voters’ concerns head on. McAuliffe’s agenda is not resonating with Virginians, and he knows it.
